Q and I have been sooo sick for over a week. But thankfully I had some awesome Mother Goose Time activities to keep X entertained.
X caught this horrible chest cold first. He was down for the count for 2 days and then was over it. Q and I have been suffering for over a week. But it gave us a chance to wrap up January’s Baby Animals theme and jump on in to February’s Nursery Rhymes.
Let me say, we are only 4 days in, but this may be my favorite theme yet!
X is loving it too! He’s memorized each nursery rhyme without me prompting him too. I here him buzzing around the house saying the rhymes. This is perfect timing for us because he’s been really pucking up on letter sounds and rhyming lately.
He’s also been spotting and pointing out American Flags where ever we go, so he quickly zoned in on the American flag door during Day 3’s Invitation to Create.
We both fell in love with this adorable Hickory Dickory Dock board game. We’ve been working on a better understanding of time, so this was fun to add in.
Honestly I’m beyond thankful we’ve had MGT this week. I was able to keep X busy, happy and learning while Q napped or nursed and I felt like I was dying. We have also spent lots of time cuddling and reading books. Sometimes slowing down is good. I am, however, very ready to be feeling better!
