Nursery Rhymes Wrap-Up

We had so much fun with our Mother Goose Time Nursery Rhymes theme! This was maybe my favorite so far. I’m so excited by how quickly X caught on and memorized the rhymes. They really are knowledge sponges! I also love how much he learned aboutr rhyming. That is such a big step towards litteracy.

X was thrilled to make a crafty version of Hot Crossed Buns. I  make these each year at Easter so it was a great crossover to one of our family traditions!

Both boys really enjoyed practicing positional words with There Was an Old Woman Who Lived In a Shoe. Q particularly liked putting our sheep manipulatives in his shoe. X worked on all the positional words and counted how many sheep Q managed to fit inside!

X also decorated his lacing shoe with portraits of everyone in our family. I love how he put himself on Dada’s shoulders. That’s a special bonding time for both of them.

Old Mother Hubbard provided a great number recognition activity! X loves to use dice.

Both boys really enjoyed making cupackes for Pat A Cake. Q particularly enjoyed the homemade puffy paint we used for frosting!

This was such a great unit! We are sad it’s over, but VERY excited to start learning about life At The Pond tomorrow!!

I received this month’s Mother Goose Time curriculum free of charge in exchange for sharing our experience and my opinions. All content and opinions are 100% mine and truly honest.
